To help launch the university’s long-term fundraising efforts, the New Jersey City University Foundation organized the first in a planned series of high-profile donor galas focused on securing support for the institution’s future development.
Recognizing an opportunity to connect the university’s ambitions with a distinctive visual metaphor, I helped shape the event’s central concept and title, “Blueprint for Tomorrow.” Drawing inspiration from archival architectural blueprints historically associated with the university, I proposed building the entire campaign identity around blueprint imagery and construction-inspired visual language. To fully realize the concept, I successfully advocated for temporarily moving away from NJCU’s traditional green-and-gold palette in favor of a rich blueprint blue that reinforced the campaign narrative of building the university’s future.
I developed the visual identity system and designed the full suite of campaign materials across print, environmental, and digital touchpoints, including the invitation and RSVP mailing system, save-the-date materials, email campaigns, web graphics, sponsorship forms, event journal book, easel signage, and table materials. The resulting campaign established a cohesive and aspirational identity that helped position institutional expansion as both visionary and achievable while elevating the fundraising experience for donors and stakeholders.
