Campus Revitalization & Environmental Graphics System

A campus-wide environmental graphics initiative designed to elevate the student experience and support enrollment during a period of economic constraint. The project focused on transforming high-impact spaces into cohesive, branded environments that shape perception, influence behavior, and reinforce institutional identity.

Using cost-effective interventions where possible, like paint and wall vinyl, the system leverages large fields of color, scale, and spatial composition to create immersive environments with minimal resources. Each space was tailored to its function and audience: an eSports room designed to energize and reflect a growing program, the Admissions office crafted as a welcoming first impression, and the registration lab extending that experience into a subsequent touchpoint.

Beyond interior spaces, targeted environmental signage expanded the university’s presence in the surrounding neighborhood. High-visibility placements, including the Exchange Place PATH Station rotunda and the JFK Boulevard façade, increased awareness among prospective students and the broader community.

Together, these interventions form a scalable environmental graphics system. They unified interior and exterior touchpoints while maximizing impact through strategic, resource-conscious design.
